Josplay announces Josplay Rise Fund to support emerging African and Caribbean artists.

There’s a wealth of raw, unstoppable talent across Africa and the Caribbean—but too often, independent artists are left to hustle alone, building their careers without the resources they need to truly break through.

The Josplay Rise Fund is here to change that. Starting August, we’re awarding one exceptional artist a $300 non-cash grant every month until December 2025. This support can go toward studio time, music video production, or promotional campaigns—the vital steps that take music from brilliant to unstoppable.

But this isn’t just about money. Winners will also be featured on Josplay’s editorial playlists, showcased across our social channels, and profiled inside the app—putting their work in front of new fans worldwide.

The top 20 finalists each month will also get special playlist placement, ensuring more ears hear their sound. We’re calling on independent voices in all genres, from Afrobeats to Amapiano, Soul, Drill, Gospel, and beyond.
