What is the Raw and Rising playlist?
The Raw and Rising playlist is a special playlist created as a reward to honor independent African artists registered on the Josplay app and who applied for the the Josplay Rise Fund , a worldwide initiative supporting independent African talent. Far from the average editorial playlist, the Raw and Rising playlist is an intentional powerhouse for indie artists discovery.
The inaugural edition (Volume 1) featured the program’s top winner alongside twenty standout entries. Following that success, volume 2 spotlights the top three winners, Kenyan artist Kiria’s “Shelter in Babylon”, Elprezido’s “Ndi Obodo,” and Donboydml’s “Pause”while the remaining tracks showcase music from the rest of the top twenty applicants.
