It is your personal homepage on our platform. It lets you manage your brand presence and public profile. From your dashboard, you can:

Who is authorized to create an artist profile?

African music artists, vocalists, and audio creators can easily set up and manage their own profiles on Josplay.  If you are a manager or represent a record label, you can also claim a profile on behalf of your artists, as long as you have their permission.

Do I have to pay for a Artist Account?

No. Claiming and managing your official artist account is completely free.

What is the Josplay Verified Badge?

It is a visible mark on your artist profile. It serves as a visual indicator of authenticity and trust, letting listeners and curators know that your profile is officially claimed and managed by you or your authorized team.

Are there specific country restrictions for uploading music?

No, none at all. We welcome African music artists and creators from all 54 African countries, the Caribbean, and the global Black community.

What genres of music does Josplay accept?

We welcome all African, Afro-descendant, and Caribbean music genres. This includes contemporary sounds like Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Dancehall, as well as rich traditional, folk, or historical genres such as Highlife, Fuji, Apala, Bikutsi, Neo-soul, Afro-jazz, and Gospel.

How do I get my music on Josplay?

There are three convenient ways to deliver your content to our platform:

1. Digital Distribution: Work with established distributor to deliver your music seamlessly to our platform.
2. Direct Submission: If you prefer to deal with us directly, you can upload and submit your music through your artist dashboard.
3. Via the African Music Library (AML): If you already have a verified profile on the African Music Library, you can link your AML profile to submit your music directly to Josplay with just a few clicks.

How do I pitch my music to Josplay editorial playlists?

To submit your music for editorial playlist consideration, playlist covers, or featured artist spotlights, you must submit a pitch through the official editorial pitch form.

Do I retain the rights to my music when I upload to Josplay?

Yes, absolutely. You retain 100% ownership of your master recordings and intellectual property. By distributing or uploading your music to our platform, you are only granting us a non-exclusive license to stream, host, and promote your work.
